Future-proof performance improvement

With the help of Unity's Profiler, I finally managed to find the culprit causing fps hiccups at times. It was a single line of code missing in the map generation script. With that fixed, everything works a lot smoother at all times.

In addition, I also updated the collision matrix for the first time, meaning that the physics colliders will no longer perform checks or collide with unnecessary objects in the game. This is a future-proof optimization and I will continue with this in the future.

Darker, animated grass

The biome got a visual update. The biome ground has a bit more darker green to give better visual identification to all greenish entities in the biome. In addition, I also added a new animated grass (created by LizLee) which has a very subtle rocking animation. I will add randomized animations and make them act dynamically with rain, etc. in the future.


The Smithing menu is unfortunately still under development and requires a bit more thought before putting it out to you. But there are now new resources to collect and you can see your current resources in each run. Once the Smithing menu opens, you will be able to see everything you've collected so far in there. Stay tuned!


As always, make sure to completely delete the game save folder and rerun the game if everything seems broken.
