Enemies overhaul, new character model, more diverse map!






Enemies, new and improved!
All robot minion enemies have been overhauled, redesigned, and made to look more alive with animations and unique powers for (almost) all of them. On top of all the robot minions, a bunch of new biome enemies have also been added. There will be even more creatures to for you to encounter at specific instances during the run.
DPS Meter
You will find a new Sword icon to the right of the screen. This is the new DPS Meter. The DPS meter shows real-time damage stats of all your currently equipped weapons under two categories: Total Damage & Damage Per Minute. Keep it on or flick it on to see how well each of your weapons performs!
New Secondary Objective
Mining objective: Stand within the radius of an ore vein to mine it. You can leave and come back to the same ore vein anytime to finish mining it.
Obstacles
Tired of passing through trees like they are made of thin air? Worry no more! Now you can faceplant yourself on rocks!
You will now find many formations of small and large rocks and water bodies that hinder your movement. Bathing in water during rain is not advised!
Status Indicators
Added different status effect indicators for the player. You will now see a more live feedback to any effect you're currently under, such as shielded, slowed, damage boosted, wet, etc.
Combo Multiplier
Defeating enemies in a short period of time now rewards you with a stacking damage and reload speed buff. Try to stay at the highest combo!
Keyboard & Controller Navigation
All menus and UI should now be fully controllable via keyboard only or controller only.
Sub-stat multipliers
Upon leveling up, each sub-stat of the Upgradeable stats now has a chance to become multiplied by 2, 3 ,or 5. Now you can decide if you want to go for the highest value or what's worth right now.
Other Changes
- Balanced primary weapons according to DPM values recorded in-game.
- Changed Rocket Cluster behavior and visuals.
- They now fire straight up, turn mid-air, lock on to a target position, and accelerate straight towards it. The rockets no longer home on enemies.
- Added a small explosion radius around each rocket to compensate for the missing homing capabilities.
- Homing Missiles accelerate mid-flight now.
- Pulser upgrades now include range upgrades as well.
- Pulser now has 3 upgrade paths after the 3rd upgrade.
- Rocket Cluster now has 3 upgrade paths after the 3rd upgrade.
- Adjusted enemy spawn rates.
- Added new sound effects:
- Unlocking new attachments.
- Ore vein mining.
- Boss warning.
- Slime pop.
- Slime detection.
- Owl bear detection.
- Big monster death (Owl Bear, Crystal Giant, Treant boss)
- Robot minion death.
- Wave notification.
- Added event timer.
- Toby Cat now follows the player around instead of disappearing into his pockets.
- Added visual blinker with changing color to the Treasure Hunt event.
- Events now end correctly if they are completed early.
- Animated the event arrow for the Crystal Giant event.
- Added new grass sprites.
- Added new game icon and splash screen logo of the developer!
- Made the enemy bombs more visible.
- Healix energy now shows on Healix instead of under the player.
- Added cooldown display for the tactical skill (E skill).
- Added radial animation for weapon skill cooldown (Q skill).
- Weapons no longer knockback larger enemies.
- Some enemies will no longer teleport to the opposite side of the screen.
- The player now starts the run with a loaded magazine. He wasn't thinking ahead before :P
- Biome hazards now generally last longer and has a chance of occurring right at the start of a run.
- The starting biome segment at 0, 0 coordinates no longer spawn any background objects (this became an issue with the new obstacles added to the game).
- Wave notification is now more prominent.
- Added a "New objective" notification after completing each secondary objective.
- Slimes can now randomly become "King Slimes" with much higher HP but slower movement speed.
- Added new nuke collectible animation and light source.
- Animated the "Enhanced" message of the level up upgrades panel.
- Added a sparkle animation to attachment unlock panel.
- Increased base pickup range upgrade stat from 0.1 to 0.5.
- Added 3rd Agility upgrade: Tactical Skill Cooldown. Upgrade this to dash more often.
- Reduced base movement speed upgrade stat from 0.1 to 0.05.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed going back to Main Menu from Level Green scene playing the old background music.
- Fixed pickup radius not resetting after each run.
- Fixed some player sprites disappearing when the Pulser pulses.
- Fixed wave notification getting stuck on the screen when escaping while the notification animation is playing.
Known Issues
- Biome segments still don't load under certain circumstances.
- Owl bear moves unnaturally sometimes.
- The crowns worn by King Slimes seems to be activated on normal slimes.
- Player aim sometimes move rapidly when any panel is open.
- Enemy stun effects are hidden behind their sprites.
- There is a significant lag before firing the first shot.
- New objective text doesn't update with each difficulty increase (ex: should go from 3 flowers to 6 flowers after 3 upgrades).
- DPS Panel weapon icon is slightly offset to the left.
- The player receives more damage instances when they are invulnerable sometimes.
